The 4Eck is a casual, cosmopolitan lifestyle restaurant for fine dining on two floors in the center of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The ECK in the name stands for classy, cool & creative and the 4 for the pillars on which the concept is built: Sustainability, Mindfulness, Deceleration and Innovation. Those who come to 4Eck take a short break from everyday life in a cozy living room atmosphere and enjoy the excellent and unusual cuisine, complemented by selected wines and innovative drinks. The first floor with its open kitchen is usually lively and there is a lot to see, but if you are looking for more peace and quiet or want to enjoy a romantic dinner for two, we recommend the KARO room on the second floor. In summer, you can relax on warm summer nights in the secret garden with mountain views, which turns into a small enchanted forest at certain times in winter. The cuisine at the 4Eck restaurant in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is constantly being re-created and is - in a nutshell - surprisingly different, sometimes cheeky, fresh, innovative - but always sustainable and cleanly prepared.
Michael Zscharschuch
Michael Zscharschuch, Sous Chef at 4Eck and currently the creative head of the kitchen crew. He was born in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and, after completing his training, has worked in many renowned restaurants in the region, from inns to Michelin-starred kitchens. In between, he supported the family business, the Neuneralm in Grainau. For him, cooking is a passion that builds on a solid foundation. He has learned his craft from scratch, refined it and constantly expanded his knowledge. One of his great strengths is sauces (to lick off your plate!), but his delicate plating style is also impressive, as are his vegan surprises. In his free time, he likes to ride his motorcycle and is active, not only in the gym but also in the mountains of Werdenfelser Land or on the local lakes. He has been a reliable rock in the 4Eck kitchen since February 2023 and we hope he will stay with us for a long time to come and enrich the 4Eck kitchen with his creations. Michael's next goal is to obtain his training certificate, which we will be happy to support.
